According to Defence Ministry officers, the launch of INS Vindhyagiri will boost the defence artificial base in India, reducing India’s dependence on foreign suppliers, promoting tone- reliance and fostering a robust defence artificial base.
This is the third and last covert frigate that the Kolkata- grounded warship maker was contracted to make for the Navy under the design.
